Sustainability Manager – Positioning and Engagement Expert

As part of the dynamic Siemens Energy Sustainability team, you will make an important contribution to the energy transition by conducting benchmarking to assess our current performance, bringing our sustainability positioning to the next level, managing our internal network and building their competencies, and engaging with external networks. In your role, you will work with highly-skilled individuals from various Functions, the Business and external collaborators. You will experience varied workdays that combine individual work and teamwork. You can flexibly organize your working hours and work both on-site as well as remote.

How You’ll Make an Impact 

  • You are responsible for a comprehensive sustainability positioning concept for Siemens Energy in line with costumer expectations 
  • You are the key contact for communication activities, including management briefings
  • You conduct regular benchmarking to assess how peers and competitors are performing and support the team and wider network with relevant information to shape our approach to sustainability
  • You will be responsible for managing and engaging our internal sustainability network, ensuring the right competences and fostering regular exchanges 
  • You engage with external partners on sustainability topics 
  • You contribute to strategic projects to integrate ESG in operations

What You Bring

  • Masters degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Sustainability or a comparable field of study 
  • Several years of experience in sustainability or related fields in large companies or consultancies 
  • Proficient in sustainability issues, trends, and best practices, familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks (e.g., CSRD, TCFD, CSDDD)
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability communication strategies combined with the ability to prepare top management level ready presentations
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external collaborators as well as to lead virtual and international teams across hierarchies, project management skills
  • Fluent in English and German
