As an ESG Analyst (m/f/x), you will be the EU focal point for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. You’ll support client-facing activities with the EU Project Manager, respond to ESG due diligence requests (questionnaires, surveys), and ensure alignment with EU regulations (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, EUBR etc). Your work will directly enhance our market credibility and sustainability reporting.

Responsibilities:

Customer and stakeholder communication

  • Served as the first contact person for ESG affairs of European clients, led the completion of bidding ESG questionnaires and supplier audits
  • Produced customized ESG promotional materials for Europe (industry white papers, best case libraries), and supported the business team in expanding the European market
  • Participated in the company’s European exhibitions and customer visits, introduced ESG development and highlights in a targeted manner, collected customer needs and fed back to the internal team

ESG regulations and policy research

  • rack and analyze EU ESG regulations (such as CSRD, EU new battery regulations, CSDDD, etc.) and convert them into executable business requirements
  • Conduct gap analysis to evaluate the differences between company policies and EU ESG requirements and propose a compliance roadmap;
  • Support internal teams (legal, R&D, procurement center, etc.) to implement changes in ESG regulations

ESG Information Disclosure and Empowerment

  • Coordinate EU and global ESG disclosures (e.g. annual sustainability report, ESG ratings) in collaboration with HQ
  • Train EU sales/project management teams on ESG messaging and client communication skills.

Qualifications

Experience with ESG auditing/certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, UN Global highly prefered

Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field

3+ years of ESG analysis/reporting experience, preferably in energy, manufacturing, or B2B sectors

Expertise in EU ESG frameworks (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, SFDR) and global standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD)

Proven skill in handling ESG questionnaires (e.g., CDP, S&P CSA) and rating agency submissions

Business fluent in English. Business fluent German is a plus

Strong data analysis skills (Excel, ESG software e.g., Worldfavor, Sustainalytics)

Knowledge of BESS/renewable energy sector ESG challenges would be considered a big plus (e.g., supply chain due diligence, carbon accounting for batteries).
