Role Purpose
We are looking for a Sustainability Consulting Associate Director who will lead sustainability engagement primarily with Occupiers in EMEA. The Associate Director will apply subject matter expertise and thought leadership to support large and high-profile Corporate in their Real Estate sustainability strategies. He/She will support the EMEA Occupier Director in driving consulting business growth and partner with the rest our JLL sustainability professionals to assist in implementing and bringing plans to life.
Career Level Definition
At this level requires specialized depth and/or breadth of sustainability expertise and consulting experience with C-Level exposure, project delivery management of high-quality sustainability programmes or client accounts with guidance in only the most complex situations, retention of existing clients, including identifying strategic areas for new business development. In addition, he/she supports the Director in the development of sustainability services and value propositions, including integrated offerings into a single broad offering.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Consulting Delivery and Client Management – Lead the development of client sustainability consulting mission through well-crafted and managed action plans, and bringing the strategy to life through engagement. Coordinate work with consultants and other sustainability specialists and multi-disciplinary team such as valuation experts, project developers, operations team to assist clients tackle various aspects of a client’s sustainability journey. . Secure, strengthen, develop and enhance client relationships through the provision of accurate and timely advice and deliverables, including facilitating executive/elected official level presentations.
- Business Development – Drive sustainability consulting business growth with Corporate Real Estate primarily in EMEA. Actively support Business Development for sustainability strategy consulting, including collaborative development and implementation of sales plan as well as client acquisition. Collaborate with client EMEA Sustainability Solutions team and Market leaders in building, winning pitches and proposals to address sustainability opportunities and drive business growth. Ensure client satisfaction, develop, and expand clients’ engagement.
- Sustainability Offering – Ensure differentiation of sustainability offering to attract and retain key clients. Develop and extend existing mandates on a range of sustainability issues, from strategy to implementation, reporting, compliance and emerging services. Contribute to team information and knowledge management as well as Thought Leadership content development and media coordination such as speaking events, social media and press.
- People management and development – Support the professional development of junior and senior colleagues (Analysts, Consultants and Senior Consultants).
- Ethics – Understand the organisations behavioural, moral, ethical and compliance standards & requirements, adhere to and demonstrate highest regard to these in all situations when interacting with customers, clients and colleagues.
To apply you need to be/have:
- Relevant experience working in sustainability and/or consultancy, min. 6 years
- Specialist knowledge in sustainability and experience working with Real Estate occupiers Strong communication skills, track record of working with Senior / C-Level stakeholder, ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
- Well organised with strong management skills, ability to take ownership of client deliverable, to ensure alignment of multiple internal stakeholders, to meet deadlines and manage budgets
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in developing holistic solutions in a business context
- Excellent team-working, and ability to contribute towards a positive team dynamic
- Strong quantitative skills and confidence with Excel
