We are seeking a highly motivated Sustainable Aviation Manager to lead our sustainability initiatives and manage trading operations for environmental commodities within the aviation sector. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to reduce carbon emissions, enhance fuel efficiency, execute transactions in carbon credits and other environmental commodities, and drive sustainable practices across our operations.

What value will you bring to the team? 🌟

• Develop and execute sustainable aviation strategies aligned with corporate sustainability goals.
• Manage trading activities in voluntary and compliance carbon markets, as well as other environmental commodity markets, ensuring risk management and profitability.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry partners, and environmental organizations, to drive sustainability and environmental commodity trading initiatives.
• Lead initiatives to incorporate Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF) and other low-carbon technologies.
• Assess and implement operational improvements to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
• Analyze and report sustainability performance metrics, ensuring transparency and continuous improvement.

Must-haves for this role 🔑

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in aviation sustainability, environmental commodity trading, emissions markets, or environmental management.
• Strong understanding of carbon markets related to aviation (VCM, CORSIA), emissions trading schemes (EU ETS), and environmental sustainability policies.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex sustainability data and market trends.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of the aviation industry’s environmental challenges and opportunities.
