We are looking for a sustainability specialist to lead the sustainability activities within the Business Division International. You will work closely with our Group sustainability team on the sustainable
business transformation of Alpiq as well as developing sustainability strategies and you will be responsible for executing it on a divisional level. You will partner with our specialists and existing teams to reinforce Alpiq’s sustainability practices and make our projects, business and products more sustainable. This role is to be based at our offices in Olten, Milano or Madrid.
Your main responsibilities
Support the development of sustainability strategies in collaboration with our Group sustainability team and direct the strategy execution for the Division International, ensuring the alignment with the Group-wide targets
Support the Manager Strategic Initiatives in various divisional tasks and projects
Implement corporate sustainability targets at the divisional level. Engage in regular monitoring of performance to ensure the division’s alignment with sustainability goals
Spearhead the divisional implementation of Group sustainability policies, commitments, and regulations
Contribute to the preparation of our annual sustainability report and ensure the divisional data collection
Initiate and lead optimization projects aimed at reducing the ESG impact, such as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from assets
Offer guidance, as well as subject-matter expertise, fostering a culture of sustainability within the division
Steer sustainability projects in the Division, represent Alpiq on diverse occasions, support and contribute to stakeholder involvement and management
Your profile
University degree in the field of energy, environment or sustainability
At least 2 years sustainability management within a similar organization or in adjacent roles such as project management related to environment and sustainability
Experience in the implementation of sustainability strategies, concrete projects, as well as process optimization; broad experience of sustainability practices and standards
Entrepreneurial skills, economic knowledge and affinity for data
Strong analytical skills and a networked way of thinking and working
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Agile, self-motivated personality, ability to work independently
Well organized with good time-management skills
Fluent in English, Spanish, Italian, French or Hungarian an advantage
