We are currently looking for a Sustainability Project manager Execution to provide technical expertise to South Western Europe (Italy, Spain and Portugal) sites to define, design and execute the sustainability glidepaths together with CTS Engineering centre of excellence (Execution) being an important link with the Sector Sustainability team.
To prepare and support the capital project initiatives related to sustainability from inception to final site ownership working together with the site engineers in the execution phases ensuring PepsiCo technical standards and business process systems as well as collecting best practices from across the sector.
The Sustainability projects Manager is a core member of the CTS Engineering execution team
Lead and own the Engineering Capital Projects Sustainability agenda from inception through to handover, supporting key phasing of projects are adhered too, with compliance to PepsiCo project management business process systems and technical/engineering standards.
Strong support for the AOP processes and long term initiatives. Focus on the sustainability glidepaths and its subsequent conversion into AOP plans.
Together with the Site Engineering Manager from each of the sites, ensure ALL capital projects are managed with absolute clarity and accuracy specifically via period update tracked/reported and controlled throughout the project lifecycle:
Engineering Drawing / Specifications
Financial Control / Management
Project time plan
Delivers the project execution process to ensure standardised agile and rapid deployment of technical productivity & best practices are rolled out to the other SWE sites.
Ensure all the projects include sustainability from design
Lead Project and associated PM Teams as appropriate for the size of each project ensuring adequate/appropriate resource allocation
Support the SBP and AOP processes to comply to the glidepaths from each site.
Be the link with external consultancy companies in terms of channelling the data from the sites to execute feasibility studies
Work unsociable hours (weekends) when required to support project delivery timescales.
Responsibilities
Adherence to PepsiCo glidepath agenda for sustainability.
Focus on GHG and water reduction for both Foods and Beverages sites in SWE
Ensure post project reviews are undertaken – build lessons learnt into new developments
Adherence to centrelined design and PepsiCo standards feeding back to the Sustainability team any lessons learned which could lead to updating the standards.
Engineering Sustainability Manager Focus:
Populate and keep updated SWE Sustainability glidepaths per each of the sites. Provide engineering support for the AOP processes and long term sustainability initiatives.
Clear management of multiple projects.
Support the business regards delivery of PEP+ Capital Investment SBP build, and its subsequent conversion into AOP plans.
Determine Project timescales and set out project plan with appropriate resource, milestones and project phasing
Clear and timely communication and escalation of any deviation from project plan or expected delivery
Communicate and liaise with Project Engineering Manager to support/prioritise the multiple project work streams.
Communicate and liaise across various site based teams (Engineering and Sustainability to ensure resource availability and delivery of project to required timelines)
Determine Project timescales and set out project plan, identifying key milestones and project phasing.
Align project design with key stakeholders (Sustainability, R&D, MOS, IT, safety and local environment legislation)
Determine appropriate project commissioning/sign off criteria
Qualifications
Project Management along with co-ordination/planning skillset (knowledge of project management theory and processes) with understanding of Scope, Cost, Schedule. Impact on Quality
In-depth knowledge of capital plan process, co-ordinating the generation of the annual capital plan generation.
Technical/Engineering background preferable
10 years’ experience within FMCG manufacturing (ideally in Beverages business).
Ability to lead a multi discipline projects through to completion.
Ability to train and influence others to ensure compliance to business processes, standards, adherence to project timelines and understanding of capital installations
Effective decision making & communication abilities.
Excellent planning and organisation skills – Ability to handle multiple work streams over parallel project timelines (individual projects varying between 3-24 months length)
Computer literate. (Word, Excel, Power point, Access, Project, CAD -preferred)
Project snagging/conflict resolution with OEM suppliers
Working with OEM, external consultancy offices and internal engineering teams to develop technical solutions to problems arising through concept/design / install phases.
Strong Manufacturing knowledge cross-category
Have a good understanding of PepsiCo technical specifications and engineering standards.
Comprehensive engineering background.
Ability to understand and write technical specifications URS, equipment performance specifications and understand technical drawings.
Broad understanding of regional safety legislation when recommending equipment types.
Understand tender process and associated documents.
Support the Sustainable by Design agenda.
Demonstrated experience when managing industrial projects, preferable in the food industry.
Experienced project manager recognising the key milestones for successful project delivery.
