Your Role
We are seeking a self-driven and highly motivated Sustainability & ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Manager to join our team. Kongsberg Digital is on a journey to make industries smarter, safer and greener. We believe that sustainability is an integral part of our strategy both for our internal license to operate and for our products that we offer to our clients. Tracking and reporting on our progress is a vital part to being able to achieve our ambitious targets. As the Sustainability & ESG Manager, you will play a critical role in managing ESG reporting within our company. Your primary responsibilities will include being a subject matter expert, managing and reporting on ESG targets, coordinating cross-company initiatives, and supporting in shaping the overall sustainability process and reporting of our organization. The position will work closely with both the CFO team and the CSO team.
Responsibilities
1. ESG Subject matter expert:
Strategy and Planning.
Collaborate with the strategy team to develop and implement the company’s ESG ambitions and goals.
Conduct regular assessments of the organization’s ESG performance ensuring compliance and identify areas for improvement.
Stay updated on emerging ESG trends, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of sustainability.
Support sales, product, and other parts of the business on sustainability related topics.
2. ESG Reporting and Compliance:
Prepare accurate and timely ESG reports, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD).
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to collect, analyze, and report on ESG data, including carbon emissions, energy consumption, waste management, diversity and inclusion metrics, and governance practices.
3. Cross-Company Coordination:
Work closely with various departments and business units to drive ESG integration across the organization.
Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement ESG-related initiatives, projects, and programs.
Identify strategic partnerships that align with the company’s ESG objectives and enhance its sustainability performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, finance, sustainability or similar.
Beneficial with experience in ESG management or sustainability roles, preferably within a corporate setting.
Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and relevant regulations.
Experience with ESG or other reporting tools.
Strong skills within Excel and Power Point.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally.
Beneficial with professional certifications in sustainability, ESG, or related fields (e.g., CSR-P, GRI Standards).
