Job Description
BESIX Group has strong and daring ambitions for its Sustainability & ESG roadmap. A joint effort from all the companies in the Group to create a transparent and coherent ESG reporting process, measured on qualitative and quantitative KPI’s and objectives. Therefore, in the context of the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), nv BESIX sa is seeking a Sustainability & ESG Data Officer to join its Group Sustainability & ESG team.
As the Sustainability & ESG Data Officer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our sustainability agenda by preparing, supporting, managing and optimizing the collection, analysis and reporting of relevant ESG data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, specifically addressing the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, support and assist in the collection and aggregation of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) data from all BESIX Group’s entities;
Support and promote the selection of relevant third-party software tools;
Support the development and management of relevant data storage in its reporting tools;
Develop and perform quality and process audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy, in cooperation with the different teams;
Promote, design and engage in data security for ESG data;
Develop, process and assist in evaluating ESG data in a usable form;
Propose & prepare ESG dashboards and ad hoc analysis of ESG data for various stakeholders;
Prepare accurate ESG reports in compliance with CSRD regulation;
Coordinate with ICT Department for addressing data-related issues, optimizing IT tools performances;
Ensure good governance practices for data collection and management;
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Data management, Business Administration or ICT-related field;
5+ years of working in a data management, data reporting, research or ICT position;
Strong technical skills in data manipulation;
Familiar with ESG software platforms and data visualisation tools;
Advanced analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills;
Detail oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity;
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines;
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints;
Independent and responsible way of working;
Excellent teamwork and communication skills;
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving environment;
Familiar with Non-Financial Reporting regulations and practices: CSRD, EU Taxonomy;
A passion for Sustainability, People and systems;
Preferably trilingual (Dutch, French, English);
Good written English communication skills is a must;
