Supplier Inclusion and Diversity Senior Expert
Summary:
Diversity is key for businesses to ensure strong performance. The same applies to Supplier Inclusion and Diversity (I&D), defined as contracting with and advocating for suppliers owned, operated, and controlled by women, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ people, or people from other underrepresented groups.
The Supplier I&D program is a strategic sustainability focus area for Bayer as it creates impact in diverse communities, it triggers innovation in Bayer and protects 2.4B€ of revenue from customers with diverse spend subcontracting requirements.
The Supplier I&D Senior Expert focuses on tracking, reporting, and process/system integration of I&D and enables co-creation of inclusive sourcing efforts within Bayer Procurement and with business stakeholders.

Main activities and responsabilities:
Main Activities/Responsibilities
Objectives and figures
Develop relevant objectives and KPI for Supplier I&D, report, and track progress via the procurement scorecard.
Understand Bayer procurement system landscape and integrate Supplier I&D data into tools and processes.
Provide actionable insights into data via PowerBI dashboards for spend and opportunities with diverse suppliers. Enhance dashboards and maintain data based on third party reports, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) databases, and in-house systems.
Collaborate with sales team for generating customer reports.
Generate annual U.S. government report and spend goals.
Perform spend analysis, data mining, and program forecasting for ad hoc reporting requests.
Track and report Tier 2 diverse spend for Bayer and customers.
Contribute to benchmarking surveys and award nominations Bayer participates in.
Spread the word and train!
Train procurement on Supplier I&D tools and processes and maintain online training resources.
Contribute to Supplier I&D deep dives with business stakeholders, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) teams.
Support procurement colleagues to find diverse suppliers for upcoming projects.
Manage integration of Supplier I&D into relevant category strategies.
Build a pipeline of upcoming sourcing opportunities to which diverse suppliers can be invited.
Support overall DE&I goals, promoting and attending events.
Engage with diverse supplier NGOs
NGOs certify diverse suppliers; Manage Bayer relationship with NGOs and access to their databases.
Identify and validate certified diverse suppliers for upcoming projects.
Make sure NGOs membership and sponsorship fees are paid.
Required Qualifications/Education
The ideal candidate:
Has 2+ years of professional experience in corporate environment.
Shows strong interest in sustainability and DE&I
Is a great communicator and builds trustful relationships with internal and external business stakeholders and works in a collaborative and team-oriented manner.
Is comfortable working in Excel, manipulating data, generating reports, and presenting insights from data.
Has experience and knowledge of database and data visualization products such as PowerBI.
Has operational experience in SAP system.
Is fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
Experience in procurement is a strong plus
