GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Coordinates the external and internal communications of OW’s projects, Business Units, and relationships with stakeholders at corporate level; with the aim that this effective and orderly communication, on the one hand, contributes to enhance OW brand image, and on the other hand, allows to create a profitable and lasting relationship with our stakeholders.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
PROJECTS OVERVIEW – Develops a global overview and understanding of offshore wind projects in order to identify milestones throughout all phases of the projects and a clear communication and outreach roadmap.
COORDINATION – Coordinates the creation and implementation of a communicaiton plan coming from projects communications needs and milestones to promote OW brand and support the projects with all stakeholders with special focus on partners, vendors, public authorities, local communities, media, fishermen and environmental associations.
CONTENT MANAGEMENT – Detects all the communication and marketing needs of the projects and BU’s, and proposes contents for OW communication plan.
PRESS RELATIONS – Writes press releases, proposes media strategy and follows ups on coverage at international level.
ANUAL PROJECTS COMMUNICATIONS ROADMAP – Drafts and recompiles information for the annual Communications Roadmap building in the sum of all project-specific roadmaps, including their milestone calendar, their communication and media strategy, and their plan of events and actions, among others. Oversees its implementation during the year.
STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT – Participates in the definition of the corporate Stakeholder Management Plan.
EVENTS AND SPORSORSHIPS MANAGEMENT – Support projects and BU’s team with participation and sponsorship at local, regional and/or national events.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, International Relations, Sustainability, Public Relations, External Affairs or Marketing.
LANGUAGES
The project has an international team of employees and the working language is English.
Candidates need to be fluent in English both spoken and written. Native English speaker will a plus. Spanish, French and / or Portuguese will be highly valued.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Between 4 and 8 years.
KNOWLEDGE
General experience in media communication within a multi-national company.
Strong experience with stakeholders mapping methods and engagement strategy.
Experience in Renewable Energy / Energy / Infrastructures sectors will be a plus.
Experience in working in Stakeholders engagement / Sustainability / Comm Department.
SKILLS
Possess a strategic approach to problems solving; able to anticipate potential reputational issues.
Experience developing creative, effective approaches to difficult communications challenges.
Experience in digital marketing, SEO, SEM, etc.
Experience in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Ads, SEMrush).
Proficient using WordPress.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Location in Madrid. Travelling to projects’s offices may be required.
