Presently, we are seeking for a Senior ESG Manager based in Madrid or London that will be responsible for coordinating the environment and social initiatives, and developing, implementing, monitoring organizational ESG management system

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with business goals and stakeholders needs
Excellent project management skill to deliver on ESG reports; identify and escalate potential risks to deadlines and deliverables; provide a solution plan with deadlines to mitigate such risks
Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics and progress toward targets
Support the Global Head of MarComms & ESG on integrating ESG messages into wider corporate touchpoints
Act as the bridge between Corporate ESG and the wider, strategic business
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into all aspects of operations
Monitor the effectiveness and implementation of appropriate ESG management systems (Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their updating in line with changes in laws, regulations and corporate directives
Review Corporate activities and ensure compliance with ESG Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to communicate our sustainability efforts
Manage and commit to timelines and deliverables
Monitor and report on ESG trends and issues that could impact business
Prepare technical reports and presentations that explain research and findings
Liaise with ESG rating agencies and work towards improving ESG ratings
Develop and implement robust reporting systems to meet the requirements of ESG rating agencies
Support the Management, including CEO, in driving the education, communication and implementation of the ESG management system across the company
Support the Investor Relations team to properly communicate and position the Company in the highest standards of ESG compliance and eventually, be involved as necessary in the conversations with investors, analysts or shareholders on this topic
Manage the flawless delivery of the double-materiality report; leveraging on the ESG team experts
Regular communication to the Executive Committee and the BoD
Oversight of ISO applications
Responsibility for the ESG and Charity Fund committees

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and above, with professional qualifications in ESG or related International Standards
15-20 years in the financial, wealthtech or ESG field and 10 years in similar role within publicly listed, international companies
Spanish required along with high level of spoken and written English
Working knowledge of Spanish and EU regulations on sustainability matters and the Dutch Code of Conduct
Experience working directly with CEOs and C-Suite executives
Knowledge of main international standards: GRI, SASB, WBCSD, ISO 14001, ISO 14064, ISO 37301; the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Knowledge and experience in sustainable investments
Related work experience in Financial Services or Big Four
Previous experience producing ESG and materiality reports
Analytical thinking and skills
Leadership and influencing skills
Experience in team management
Experience in project management
Good training & communication skills, capable of developing and delivering ESG related trainings.
Volunteering experience and solidarity actions involvement will be positively valued.
