Background
Alter5 is looking for a Project Finance Specialist to join the structuring and execution team as a senior member and reporting to the Head of Finance.
Alter5 is a platform to finance renewable energy assets. Via the platform, investors such as insurers, pension funds, financial institutions and fixed income managers can invest in green bonds that will finance renewable energy projects previously analyzed by independent advisors.
Currently the company’s focus is utility-scale solar PV and wind projects. In paralell, Alter5 is launching its activity in other verticals such as self-consumption (autoconsumo), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and energy efficiency installations.
As a fintech company, the candidate will also have a leading role in the technological development of the company by bringing the financial elements of the business proposition onto Alter5’s tech platform.
Responsibilities
Lead the modeling and structuring of non-recourse financing / project finance renewable energy transactions.
Lead new developments of the Alter5 financial model and its digital implementation
Support the origination team in the financial modeling of new products (e.g. senior debt, junior debt, equity investments, others)
Assist in the negotiations of commercial terms with institutional investors and sponsors (termsheets and contracts)
Support the transaction execution process, being responsible of day to day coordination of transaction advisers (legal, technical, insurance)
Lead business development initiatives to expand the institutional investor pool investing through Alter5
Coordinate discussions and negotiations with institutional investors and placement agents
Requirements
Strong and proven financial modeling ability and on-going interest in applying technology to created new business models and processes in this area
Banking, consultancy, financial advisory, infrastructure / renewable energy developer or infrastructure / renewable energy fund background
Interest in applying new tools (AI, ML) to traditional financial modeling (no expertise in the area required)
Interest in transforming the current renewable energy financing sector by bringing new and innovative solutions into the market.
Proactive, able to cope with complex and demanding working environments.
Languages
Spanish: native or fluent
English: fluent
French and/or German will be a plus
What we offer
Compensation Package:
Fixed Salary: [40.000/50.000] EUR
Variable Salary: 15.000 EUR
