This role is 5 days per week in the Madrid office (no hybrid or remote working)
My client is an independent boutique consulting firm with presence Europe, Africa and the Middle East. They have extensive global experience and industry recognition in the financial services, risk management and finance communities.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and dynamic consultant to strengthen our team:
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in banking / financial services and last 2 years extensive experience in climate risk & sustainability (we need a Manager in credit risk topics with 2 years of experience in financial ESG topics).
Quantitative background with strong analytical skills and an interest in quantitative topics
First ESG experience from projects related to:
Integration of ESG in strategy and bank steering
Integration of ESG in risk management
Integration of ESG in credit process and client engagement
Climate Risk Stress Testing
Calculation of emissions (PACTA)
Development of Decarbonization targets (SBTi / PACTA)
Preparation of regulatory disclosure (Pillar 3) or non-financial reporting
Ideally, knowledge of current regulatory requirements relating to ESG (in particular ECB Guide on Climate and Environmental Risk, EU-Taxonomy, NFRD/CSRD, EBA guideline on Pillar 3 reporting – Green Asset Ratio) as well as other frameworks (TCFD, ISSB, Sustainable Finance)
Proficiency in Excel; nice-to-have: R, Python and knowledge of their uses in the work environment
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Ability to work independently and to quickly familiarize with new topics
Fluent in English and in Spanish (incl. the ability to write professional reports), fluency in German and Portuguese is a plus
