To support this exciting journey of transformation, we’re looking for a Global Environmental Sustainability Expert.

1. MISSION

Reporting to the EHS Governance & Strategy Manager, the Environmental Sustainability Expert will work closely with stakeholders such as Operational Management, Engineering, Procurement and the ESG team to advance the company’s environmental sustainability strategy. The scope is global, providing support to ESTEVE’s Pharma and Chemical businesses. This role will coordinate and provide support for the identification and implementation of initiatives aligned with ESTEVE Net Zero Policy goals The role will ensure reporting of environmental data, monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), and drives continuous improvement through the integration of sustainability into global processes and policies Additionally, it involves engaging stakeholders, promoting awareness, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards, while staying updated on industry trends and securing grants for environmental projects, practices and regulations to guide the company’s continuous improvement.

2. FUNCTIONAL CONTENT

Support on implementation of the sustainability strategy in terms of environmental projects.
Coordinate and provide support to the areas when identifying initiatives aligned with the Net Zero Policy goals related to energy efficiency, resources consumption, greenhouse emissions, circular economy,…
Ensure governance of carbon footprint reduction projects: detection, reporting and follow- up.
Create and control tools for the carbon footprint reporting: decarbonization projects, annual emissions, ….
Monitor and measure the company’s environmental performance: KPIs dashboards bound to the Net Zero strategic roadmap.
Assure that defined metrics are in place to assure continuous improvement and the effectiveness of systems and processes, as well as defined Environmental KPIs.
Management of Environmental data for Annual Report, CSRD, TFCD, PSCI, CDP or other voluntary standards.
Single point of contact for providing global environmental data to ESG reports.
Communicate and promote environmental efforts internally engaging key stakeholders and all ESTEVE community participation.
Train, educate and include environmental criteria within the Esteve global processes and policies.
Promote, support and provide content for environmental campaigns, workshops and events.
Be aware of compliance with applicable and future environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
Stay current on trends, best practices and technological advances in environmental sustainability.
Participate in events like webinars, workshops, forums about environmental sustainability.
Contribute to projects to capture environmental grants.

4. JOB PROFILE

a) Required Studies

Academic background in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related areas.
b) Other specialized knowledge

Sound knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and sustainability standards.
Critical analysis skills and abilities to evaluate and implement sustainable solutions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
Abilities to manage data and tech tools and reporting platforms.
Project management abilities.
c) Professional experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing sustainability projects, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven experience in coordination of cross-functional teams.
d) Languages

Spanish Fluent.
English Proficiency Fluent.
