The Role
The Lead ESG Program Manager will coordinate large-scale, cross-functional projects within the ESG program under the guidance of the Director – Head of ESG. The Lead ESG Program Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and managing ESG projects to satisfy scope, timing, and budget expectations along with overall project outcomes.
The role will collaborate widely across various departments and have exposure to senior leadership. This role is pivotal in nurturing an environment where clear communication, innovative thinking, dedication to our customers, personal growth, and support for each other are the cornerstones of our success.
Location
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.
The Main Responsibilities
Develop, plan, implement, and manage various ESG projects and initiatives as requested by the Director – Head of ESG, and provide status reports including executive-level updates.
Act as the project team leader, coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensure project success, and be accountable for timely project completion.
Reiterate project scope, roles/responsibilities, and schedule regularly while ensuring collaboration, teamwork, and participation of all required internal and/or vendor resources.
Employ good judgment to make project decisions with the authority to stop activities that negatively impact the project.
Administer the online platform for ESG data collection and auditing while managing the data, analysis, and follow-up.
Conduct ongoing benchmarking of ESG and sustainability disclosures against peers, trends, and industry best practices.
Formulate reports and respond to questionnaires from customers, ESG research firms, and ESG rating agencies, including MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics, and CDP, while identifying opportunities to correct inaccuracies and improve performance.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant work experience
Commitment to culture of team, trust, and transparency
Experience managing simultaneous complex projects in a changing environment with minimal supervision
Attention to detail and strong judgment across a broad range of contexts and topics
Strong organizational and project management skills
Capacity to work and collaborate with virtual teams and remote employees
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and Office 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in ESG and/or Sustainability. Will also consider experience in Accounting/Finance or in a comparable industry
Degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or other business discipline (e.g. Sustainability Management, Environmental Economics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Accounting, or Data Analytics)
PMP Certification
Experience with Workiva or comparable reporting and compliance platform and experience working with financial and/or ESG reporting teams in the development, execution, and maintenance of a disclosure control program.
Knowledge of non-financial reporting standards such as SASB, TCFD, GRI, and emerging standards from the ISSB, TNFD, and other leading standard-setting organizations.
Experience Onboarding and managing external vendors.
Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee’s primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

$80510 – $107340 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$84740 – $112980 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$88980 – $118630 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$93210 – $124280 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
