Our client, a leading boutique consultancy specialising in sustainable engineering solutions, seeks a dynamic Head of Sustainability to shape and implement their environmental strategy. Were committed to excellence and seek a professional to drive our sustainability initiatives.
Job Overview:
Lead the implementation of sustainability strategies, focusing on Green Building Certifications, Building Physics & Energy Modelling, and Whole Life Carbon Analysis & Embodied Carbon. This role involves developing standards, processes, and workflows, growing and mentoring a team, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Responsibilities:
Sustainability Strategy:
* Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with company goals.
Service Lines:
* Establish service lines for Green Building Certifications, Building Physics & Energy Modelling, and Whole Life Carbon Analysis & Embodied Carbon.
Project Integration:
* Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability into designs and processes.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering a culture of innovation and environmental responsibility.
Standards and Processes:
* Implement standardised processes for sustainable engineering practices across service lines.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and industry partners to promote sustainable practices.
Metrics and Reporting:
* Develop metrics and prepare reports on the success and impact of sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors/Masters degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
* 8+ years of direct experience within sustainable design
* Experience in delivering projects in the disciplines mentioned above
* Leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading sustainability teams.
* Familiarity with industry software tools for energy modelling and carbon analysis.
