Verisure is seeking a talented ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Reporting Associate and/or Manager to join the team. This role provides an outstanding platform for a highly motivated individual to work with our Group ESG Manager / Senior Director, whilst providing strong visibility with key leaders in the company. This role will report to our Group ESG Manager / Senior Director. The position is a based in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Spain’s HQ – Madrid). Some international travel within Europe could be required.

This role will collaborate closely with a number of internal and external stakeholders internationally for ensuring compliance with reporting regulations and to contribute to high-impacting global projects in a matrix environment. The role requires excellent communication and organization skills, including the ability to anticipate, identify and communicate risks to senior leadership as well as in depth understanding and passion for wider corporate and ESG reporting.

 

Responsibilities will include:

Lead and participate on the development, planning and execution of ESG reporting projects and processes; successful implementation of new ESG reporting requirements in the context of Verisure’s Annual Reporting cycle (e.g. CSRD, GRI, SASB)
Engage with all relevant stakeholders to develop close relationships and a detailed understanding of Verisure’s end-to-end ESG reporting requirements
Further development of the ESG reporting strategy at Verisure based on best practices and new regulatory requirements in coordination with cross-functions
Support on the development and implementation of a company-wide plan for collecting, storing, validating and distributing ESG data and content for reporting; adding value by responding to key stakeholders’ requests
Engage with ESG rating agencies in their assessment of Verisure.
Carry out different benchmarking exercises to detect areas for improvement
Shape ESG messages to investors and other key stakeholders within the concept of strategy and long-term value creation for Verisure

Candidate profile

Experience and requirements

 

We are looking for a high potential, proactive and solution-oriented individual focused on driving value to the business who is looking for a challenging yet rewarding job. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn from Group HR, Group Finance, and other high-performing teams transversally

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree, ideally with a focus on business administration, finance, economics, sustainability, environmental sciences, communications, or similar
Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish. Other European languages are a plus
+2 years of experience working in non-financial reporting ideally in either a listed company, PE- owned company or a consultancy
Experience with reporting under ESG reporting standards (CSRD, SASB, TCFD, GRI, CDP,…) and understanding of current ESG regulatory developments in Europe and internationally
Very valuable experience in ESG rating assessment and interaction with ESG rating agencies
Experience in other strategic ESG topics would also be highly considered: GHG monitoring and reduction, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB), ISO implementation, Community Impact, Waste management, Circular Economy, ESG risk management, Governance, Regulation, etc.
Strong team mentality with the ability to build good working relationships with many different internal and external counterparties
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to drive several projects at once
Convincing communication skills (written and oral) in both English and Spanish
Extensive knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
Proactive, and results-driven, ability to correctly set priorities and meet challenging deadlines and comfortable managing ambiguous situations independently
