Job Title: Global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Program Leader

Location: Barcelona, Hybrid 3x a week in office

 

Galderma promotes sustainable operations and management practices and is dedicated to advancing environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. We are seeking a Global ESG Program Leader to manage our ESG objectives and initiatives across our global organization.

 

In this highly visible role, you will work with senior management, employees, customers, vendors, and shareholders to deliver on Galderma’s ESG and sustainability roadmap. The role requires a deep understanding of the current evolving ESG landscape and associated best practices in the consumer and pharmaceutical industries, as well as an ability to work within a global corporate environment with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to ensure appropriate goals, metric and performance measures are enhanced and delivered.

 

Key Tasks

Drive continued development and refinement of Galderma’s ESG roadmap, including:

Monitor evolving ESG regulatory landscape to derive key implications for Galderma’s ESG roadmap.
Monitor evolutions in stakeholders’ expectations and distill outputs and pragmatic recommendations for inclusion in Galderma’s ESG framework and roadmap.
Run Galderma’s ESG governance working closely with the Head of Strategy, IR and ESG by preparing, and acting as secretary for, ESG Council meetings (Executive-level decision body affiliated to Galderma’s Executive Committee) and ESG Board updates, including liaising with global functional leaders to define and report on status of key ESG initiatives.
Coordinate the delivery of Galderma’s ESG roadmap by monitoring performance across functions, working closely with global functional leaders to run analysis and identifying corrective actions as needed and coordinating cross-functional efforts.
Drive and coordinate step-change ESG initiatives, collaborate and influence other colleagues on ESG topics, driving the ESG agenda throughout the organization in the context of the overall corporate strategy and priorities.
Further develop robust ESG data collection processes to ensure storing of all relevant information, regular tracking of ESG performance and validation of ESG performance.
Orchestrate communication around Galderma’s public ESG position and response to solicited and unsolicited ESG ratings by external agencies.
Skills & Qualifications

Extensive project/program management experience in strategic projects. Experience in MBB or big 4 accounting firms a plus.
Degree in Business, ESG, CSR, environmental sustainability; MBA or equivalent on-the-job experience
Strong knowledge of sustainability and ESG topics, incl. evolving regulatory landscape, ESG related certifications, (ESG) rating agencies practices and investors/civil society expectations
Pharma and/or FMCG company experience a plus
High proficiency in English – both written and oral
