Your responsibilities
Circular economy and Community Engagement have been identified as two key sustainability priorities. These contribute significantly to achieving RWE’s Growing Green strategy, aiming for a sustainable growth of renewables. The advertised role is responsible for developing and supervising a strategy for Circularity and Community Engagement.
Develop a vision, KPIs & targets and roadmap for Circularity and Community Engagement
Operationalize Circular Economy and Community Engagement throughout the RWE Group in close collaboration with RWE’s subsidiaries, e.g. by initiating and leading Group-wide projects
Develop business cases for necessary investments and spending as part of the mid and long term plan
Steering a central hub to co-ordinate and align Group-wide activities
Building and fostering the Group-wide communities for both topics, including efforts of literacy and culture
Initiating Group-wide communication on Circularity and Community Engagement
Engage in external networks in order to bring up to date insights in these topics into the RWE group but also position RWE as a leader in these two areas
Your profile
University degree, e.g. in Sustainability, Economics, Natural Sciences or a comparable discipline
Several years of relevant work experience in sustainability, ideally with a track record in driving Circular Economy and/or Community Engagement
Ability to understand business cases and create business plans around ESG topics
Distinct ability to manage projects as well as to analyze and structure complex topics with a clear stakeholder view
Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain international networks
Persuasiveness and confident manner, also in an international environment
Proficiency in written and spoken English
