The position
As an ESG Senior Project Manager, you will be contributing to turning Novo Nordisk’s sustainability ambitions into action. More specifically, you will be driving strategic projects on topics related to Novo Nordisk’s social and environmental responsibility as part of the cross-cutting team ESG Data & Strategy. Some of the analyses you will be working on will be of a quantitative nature. Examples could include developing new metrics for measuring performance on key priorities or forecasting what our full-year results on key sustainability metrics will be. Other times, you might be working on projects of a different character, e.g. aiming at integrating sustainability priorities across Novo Nordisk’s value chain and organisation. Regardless of the objectives of the projects you work on, you will be the one driving the project forward, ensuring progress and efficient collaboration with colleagues across the organisation.
In summary, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and drive cross-cutting strategic projects within sustainability
Apply a consulting mindset to high-complexity problem-solving within sustainability and communicate clear recommendations
Develop and deliver high-quality forecasting, progress tracking, decision scenarios, and other quantitative components of strategies and roadmaps
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with:
3+ years of experience in a strategy or consulting function, independently managing projects.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with quantitative analysis.
Experience working with ESG/sustainability is advantageous but not a strict requirement.
As an individual, you have strong interpersonal skills which ensure effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. You work independently while maintaining a structured approach. Combined with your attention to detail, this helps you achieve precision and efficiency in your work.. Your numeracy and problem-solving skills are combined with strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear recommendations
About The Department
The position is anchored in the newly established team ESG Data & Strategy which is part of ESG Strategy & Intelligence. The ESG Strategy & Intelligence department is driving a broad range of ESG and sustainability related topics including assessing new reporting regulation, management reporting, data and insights, communications, external trends and intelligence, and cross-functional projects while also facilitating collaboration with the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Novo Nordisk Sustainability Advisory Council. The team is international and cross-functional collaboration is highly valued. Cultivating team spirit, continuous development and trust are all central priorities for the team. The ESG Strategy & Intelligence department is part of the CVP area Global Public Affairs & Sustainability within the EVP area Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs.
