Role: Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Manager
Location: Remote EU, preference for Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France, UK or Portugal.

Ikaros Solar Group has been a prominent player in the European PV market since 2006. Historically, we have been offering both EPC and O&M services, though more recently we have made the decision to place ourselves firmly on the map by becoming a full-service Independent Power Producer.
Ikaros Solar Group is fully owned and backed by the €35 billion European Investment Group, Eurazeo.
Our offerings as of today include, the planning, funding, construction, and operations management of utility scale and C&I PV projects. We deliver renewable energy solutions across the Benelux, France, Portugal and the UK and have brought over 200MW of capacity online, have a development portfolio of over 1GW whilst still managing another 180MW of operating assets.
Purpose:
As a key member of the Ikaros team the ESG Manager will be responsible for:
Advancing our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.
Lead the development, implementation, and management of our ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with our core values and the expectations of our stakeholders.
Driving positive change within our organization and contribute to our mission of creating a more sustainable world.
This position encompasses a range of duties to support all business units, ensuring sustainable business operations.
The successful candidate will have ESG experience working across multiple countries throughout the renewables industry.
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
Develop and execute Ikaros Solar’s ESG strategy, encompassing environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations, decision-making processes, and project development.
Research and deepen Ikaros’ carbon footprint and work on other carbon related topics such as avoided emissions.
Conduct regular assessments to monitor and evaluate the company’s performance against ESG goals and targets, including the sustainable performance of the supply chain.
Identify emerging ESG trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to inform continuous improvement initiatives, i.e. Climate Dividends
Keep alignment with latest EU environmental requirements as biodiversity impact, resilience to climate change and circular economy, among other emerging topics.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, regulators, community partners, and industry organizations, to promote transparency and accountability.
Lead ESG reporting efforts, preparing comprehensive disclosures and communications to showcase our progress and achievements.
Cultivate a culture of sustainability and corporate citizenship across the organization, fostering awareness, education, and engagement at all levels.
Your areas of knowledge and expertise:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in ESG management, preferably within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
Deep understanding of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines (e.g. EU-Taxonomy, GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD).
Good understanding, and interested on working on carbon accounting, (GHG Protocol, SBTi methodologies and others)
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change.
Strategic mindset, with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement impactful ESG initiatives.
