With a total pipeline of 25 GWp in solar and 47 GWh in battery storage, of which 14 GW and 12 GWh respectively already have interconnections (as of January 31, 2023). In addition, Recurrent Energy’s services business has 6 GW of projects under operations and maintenance contracts, either operational or contracted projects.

Position Summary

The ESG Manager will play a pivotal role in integrating ESG principles into our company’s operations and strategies. This position involves leading our ESG initiatives, ensuring compliance with ESG standards, and communicating our ESG performance to stakeholders.

This role is a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change and contribute to the company’s long-term sustainability and ethical initiatives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about ESG and skilled in navigating the complexities of this evolving field.

Responsibilities

ESG Strategist:

Design and refine short and long-term ESG strategy with the Chief Communications and ESG Officer.
Collaborate with various departments to integrate ESG considerations into business practices and decision-making processes.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate ESG data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Assess material issues as we grow and scale, partnering with external agencies and key stakeholders to build strategic models and a strategic roadmap for overall impact.
Develop and maintain ESG policies and procedures to enhance sustainability and ethical practices.

 

Subject-Matter Expert:

Provide expert advice on core sustainability topics including waste, solar, energy, and climate, as well as global ESG frameworks.
Act as a strategic advisor on a wide range of ESG topics.
Support our Chief Communications and ESG Officer and Head of Investor Relations to build the structure necessary to manage and implement the global ESG strategies.
Lead the preparation and publication of ESG reports, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
Manage external NGO and stakeholder relationships to protect and enhance brand reputation.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Law, or a related field.
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., GRI Certified Training) is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ESG/sustainability role, preferably in an energy sector corporate setting.
Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and methodologies including TCFD, GRI and SASB, and the GHG Protocol.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Proven ability to communicate complex ESG concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis and experience with sustainability software tools.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage others.
Commitment to staying informed about emerging ESG trends and issues.
Ability to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Internal drive to finish work by deadlines (self-motivated).
Intense attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and third-party advisors simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
Ability to travel as required.
