Within CO+I, the Cloud Innovation Services & Solutions team is responsible for delivering solutions and services that enable?reliable?cloud growth and operational excellence, including end to end program management, security, risk and governance, planning, learning and development and sustainability.
The Sustainability team focuses on driving CO+I performance in alignment to the existing corporate-wide commitments,?establishing preferred CO+I sustainability datacenter public policies and whitepapers and preparing for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements, and ensuring timely and accurate disclosure.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to support CO+I’s ESG efforts, more specifically supporting ESG Foresight and Planning, Data Management, Reporting and Operational Integration.
As part of this team, you will collaborate across a broad set of stakeholders, capture regulatory, customer, industry and investor trends and provide foresight to CO+I’s leadership. You will design ESG governance processes for ESG planning and support the design of the team’s recommended ESG strategy with a focus on cross-functional relationships and company-wide alignment.
You are excited about empowering CO+I with the necessary ESG insights to support fast and targeted decision-making for performance and impact, drive accountability across the organization and translate ESG requirements into a compete opportunity. You are adept at working in a multi-stakeholder, multi-background environment, building enduring trusted relationships and efficiently influencing with limited control. You work effectively with senior executives, focusing on crisp and actionable communication, you are fluent in English and bring a strategic perspective, supporting the team by innovating and showcasing the team’s key results. You have been successful working within a matrixed organizational structure where you lead through influence and teamwork. You work comfortably on strategic work in addition to the tactical but critical architecture that underpins the success of individuals across the team.

This position requires leadership, strategic planning, and project management skills. The ESG Senior Manager, will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization’s ESG efforts and play a key role in supporting Microsoft’s ability to meet policymakers, customers, investors and industry ESG expectations.
Responsibilities
Translate regulatory, customer, industry and investor ESG expectations into a short and long term strategy for CO+I to integrate into its RoBCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of the ESG function with other CO+I teams, business units and company-wide initiativesPrepare content for senior management review and approval
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and experience in program management within a large, matrixed organizationExperience dealing with senior executivesSeasoned at prioritizing and executing in complex and ambiguous situationsSkilled at transforming complex, conflicting opportunities into clear, strategic prioritiesAbility to influence with limited control, manage conflicting priorities and work across multiple time zonesExceptional written, presentation, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders and leaders about our programs and objectivesAbility to develop high level strategy and simultaneously executeStrong leadership and interpersonal skills and demonstrated resilience and optimismAbility to adapt in the face of change and ambiguityExperienced at building support with stakeholders, collaborating with diverse, cross-sector stakeholder groupsProficient at Microsoft Office suite of products and collaboration software, incl. Power Point, Microsoft Teams and Copilot.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Advanced degree in Business Administration (MBA)Data management and/or business analytics experienceExposure to public policy/regulatory requirements and trendsCompete analyticsAnalytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and surface insights to make informed decisionsDemonstrated track record of creating innovative approaches to adapting corporate processes and policies to solve environmental problems.Demonstrated track record of impact on a global program with clear targets and milestones
