Job Description
The European ESG Compliance Manager will support the implementation of European Sustainability reporting standards (ESRS) & Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directives (CSRD) across multiple European businesses. This role will interact with senior management in relation to conducting double materiality assessments and gap assessments.
Key Accountabilities:
Support the improved ESG reporting and compliance through the adoption of the European Union – ESRS & CSRD
Support regional, cross-functional projects associated with ESG reporting which will involve the European support in respect of the setup of the reporting tool, Also the requirement for Double Materiality interviews with internal and external parties
Define, drive and maintain effective ESG compliance controls in the European region.
Assists Senior European Sustainability Reporting Manager in responding to external & internal audits
Development of KPI’s and internal reporting for European ESG compliance activities
Manage the relationship with external advisors with respect to European ESG compliance
Oversee the collection and archiving of documentation to support European ESG compliance
Ensure consistency and standardization of European ESG compliance affairs and filing process (incl. standardization of ESG reporting)
Establish processes, control environment /tools, working instructions/SOPs for ESG reporting
Participate and support other tasks / ESG projects as required
Interaction with local stakeholders in support of double materiality assessments for the European region
Working with ESG Global team to identify areas of reporting
Experience required:
Experience required in dealing with both internal & external stakeholders
5+ years’ experience in multinational environment
Accounting & finance (Desirable)
Experience in sustainability reporting across multiple European entities
Ability to manage both internal and external audits
