Position Overview

 

The objective of this job is to cover in Supply Chain the need of the company in terms of Sustainability, requirements on logistics, production and packaging to reduce the environmental footprint, support strategies and identifying tactical actions, contribute to ensuring that our operations are under environmental responsibility and social conscience. This position requires a high knowledge in terms of sustainability related areas and background on law and regulations. This position requires also good leadership skills to promote organization changes.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Contribute to generate a Sustainability strategy, aligned with company objectives.

• Support sustainability strategy implementation

• Collaboration with different departments in identifying/execute sustainability impacts and opportunities to reduce our environmental impact.(Emphasize the importance of stakeholder engagement. The role involves collaboration with different departments and external stakeholders)

• Generate/gather a report of EMEA supply chain sustainability indicators: energy consumption, waste generation, greenhouse gas emissions.

• Responsible/supporting function for obtaining certifications of sustainability.

• Liase with external, as regulatory authorities and certifications.

• Responsible to be “up to speed” on new laws and regulations of sustainability and make recommendations to assure them

• Collaborate with marketing/R&D teams to develop communications campaigns.

• Promote innovation in sustainability, application of new technologies, good practices and new strategies to improve results on sustainability.

• Generate/support cost analysis in terms of sustainability projects.

• Define and monitor KPI to ensure achieve the goals.

• Calculate the impact of the carbon/water footprint (and/or other indicator) and promote measures to reduce it.

• Responsible for provide structured information to comply with locals regulation(plastic taxes, RAP, green dot,..)

 

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

 

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, industrial engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent is requires.

• Knowledge of Supply Chain practices and business operation.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position and or as an Environmental or sustainability .consultant with demonstrated track record of delivering results in a complex environment.

• Knowledge on environmental laws and regulation interpretation.

• Deep knowledge of industrial sector and challenges in sustainability.

 

 

COMPETENCIES

 

•Strong ownership and desire to learn and develop, proven negotiation skill, effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, ability to work collaboratively across functional departments (to highlight the need of effective communication and relationship management).

•Analytical mindset to analyze and interpret data to helps taking decisions.

•PMO skills.

•Good knowledge about sustainability certifications.

•Able to lead teams and to motivate them to accept new challenges.

•Ability to work under compressed timelines to achieve project goal; ability to stay organized and multitasked.

•Quick learner and autodidact when required. Sole charge and able to work with very little supervision.

•Computer proficient (Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint).

•Fluent Spanish and English.

•Knowledge in ERP – SAP is desirable.
