Overview:

EIT Climate-KIC is seeking a Climate Impact Advisor to join our team remotely. As the EU’s climate innovation initiative, EIT Climate-KIC is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a zero-carbon and resilient world. The Climate Impact Advisor will play a crucial role in supporting start-ups through climate impact assessments, aiding in the improvement of their environmental footprint using a range of tools and methodologies.

 

 

Responsibilities:

Facilitate virtual workshops on climate impact measurement and assessment methods for Entrepreneur Support Organisations (ESOs) and start-ups.
Assist in the development of climate impact methodologies.
Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions with ESOs and start-ups.
Validate climate impact claims through established procedures.
Integrate climate impact elements throughout various stages of our programs.
Manage climate impact metrics for portfolios of start-ups and produce regular reports.
Requirements:

University degree, ideally at a Master’s level or higher, in a sustainability-related field. Ideally in, Environmental Sciences or Engineering or other sustainability- related disciplines.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability or climate impact measurement.
Proficient in GHG accounting methodologies.
Experience in organizing and facilitating individual and group sessions.
Fluent in English and French (Spanish optional).
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with climate adaptation, resilience, and circular economy.
Proficiency in data management and visualization/reporting tools.
Familiarity with collaborative IT applications such as Office365, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce CRM, etc.
Additional Information:

Successful candidates may be required to work outside general business hours.
Sustainable procurement practices are encouraged, including digital delivery and minimizing environmental impact.
