GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Due to the rapid growth of the business, OW is looking to recruit an experienced sustainability profile to join the team, based at our Madrid headquarters and reporting to the Head of F,P&A, Tax, Accounting & Internal Control of the company.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for defining and coordinating OW’s sustainability activities across the portfolio.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Establish a sustainability framework at Group level, both at Corporate and local level, and channel the collection of information from the various ESG activities in the different geographies and comply with the different requirements of the Shareholders
Manage/oversee sustainability and ESG activities across project and portfolio lifecycle from origination, to development, financing, construction and asset management
Manage shareholders/lenders/partners/stakeholder relations in respect of sustainability matters, working where appropriate with in-country project teams and functional teams
Liaise with the sustainability specialists of the OW shareholders to leverage their experience / shared input to ESG activities
Establish template for shareholder /stakeholder ESG reporting – quarterly, annual, sustainability report
Prepare a comprehensive quarterly and annual overview of sustainability performance across the company to help the management with the identification of improvement initiatives in line with OW business goals
Lead the definition and implementation of strategic sustainability transversal projects by supporting the projects in the definition, implementation, communication and compliance assessment of the projects
Review responses to shareholder or lender ESG due diligence questionnaires, and be the company’s face of ESG with external stakeholders
Lead integration of new regulation, standards, and principles into company policy/approach and participate in industry working groups
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
University – Economics, finance, engineering or sustainability related degree.
LANGUAGES
Fluent in English, other languages considered a bonus.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years of sustainability experience in a corporate environment or fund
Ability to work with multi-disciplinary, international teams
Experience of sustainability reporting
Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex issues with excellent attention to detail
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Availability for occasional business travel.
