About the Role

As ESG Officer, you will play a vital role in advancing Vivup’s Environmental, social and governance initiatives. You will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring Vivup’s ESG performance, conducting research, analysing data, and providing strategic recommendations to drive positive environmental, social and governance impacts. This is a newly created role that offers the opportunity to shape and influence our ESG strategy and make a meaningful impact on our business.

What You’ll Be Doing

Growth

– Support the growth team and tenders by providing meaningful, referenced evidence which can be used to support prospective client’s ESG expectations

– Implement ESG commitments and pledges from winning bids

– Work closely with relevant third party providers for their latest ESG initiatives and strategies to use in tender bids

Environmental

– Lead on Vivup’s Carbon Reduction Plan by liaising with key, agreed third party providers and ensuring accurate data is communicated externally

– Lead on maintaining Vivup’s ISO14001 accreditation

– With support from Marketing, maintain relevant areas of the company website which promote ESG initiatives

Social

– Raise awareness of Vivup employee volunteering days, track, organize and publicise these

– Develop new ways to increase and promote social impact through initiatives such as apprenticeships

– Ensure that Vivup’s Diversity and Equality statistics are up to date and accurate

Governance

– Lead on maintaining Vivup’s ISO9001 accreditation

– Undertake Audits in line with the business’ Annual Audit Plan

– Collect, analyse, and interpret ESG data from various sources, identify trends and gaps, and provide insights to support Tenders, improve decision-making and risk management

General

– Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to ESG and ESG reporting

– Develop a reporting framework, and prepare reports and disclosures for all Vivup’s Interested Parties.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified to bachelor’s degree level in a relevant field such as sustainability, environmental science, or business management
Experience in ESG analysis, sustainability reporting, or related fields, with a specific focus on responsible sourcing and climate-related matters
Project Management experience
Data analysis and visualisation skills
Knowledge of ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting guidelines, such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, CSRD, and UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Strong communication skills to effectively present complex information related to change to diverse stakeholders
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Passion for sustainability, environmental stewardship, responsible sourcing, and climate action
The Interview Process

Our interview process involves 4 main stages:

Application
Short call with a member of the TA team
30-minute video call with Hiring Manager and one other team member
Final Interview and task with two members of the team
