Acerca del empleo:
Directly reporting to the “Sustainability, Strategy and Business Development” Direction, this position will be responsible for leading sustainability, decarbonization and innovation initiatives, including strategy development and execution, internal and external engagement and alignment.
Main Functions:
Develop and coordinate implementation roadmap defined in the (VCE) Sustainability Commitments for 2030
Track relevant sustainability KPIs and identify areas of improvement across decarbonization and other priority topics (biodiversity, water)
Launch and implement strategic sustainability initiatives in close coordination with relevant areas (Operations, Commercial, etc.)
Monitor balance and develop emissions trading strategy, as an input to strategic planning
Monitor relevant sustainability regulations (CBAM, ETS) and support upcoming sustainable reporting (CSRD, European Taxonomy, CS3D)
Strengthen VCE’s sustainability positioning and lead strategic alliances across Industry Consortiums, identifying best practices for VCE
Requirements:
Experience: At least 5 years working within the sustainability and decarbonization space of a heavy emitting sector (industrial, energy) in a managerial level. Experience influencing and collaborating across large-scale organizations to drive new programs. Experience with written and verbal communication across executive leadership team, peers, managers
Background: Environmental Sciences Degree, Engineering, or similar. Desirable: MBA in project management, or similar.
Languages: Spanish, English
Travel to factories and work centers (Galicia, Andalucía, Extremadura and Canarias)
