For a global company, we are looking for a Director of Sustainability who will be responsible for leading all operations to manage several key trends that are emerging from climate change to social changes to run sophisticated, multi-layer quality control to ensure that all data conforms to the highest standards. Ensure that the company upholds and works towards finding new, innovative, and economically reductive ways to stay green with an environmental zero impact with social responsibility.
You will be given full accountability to run and grow the business by strategizing, planning, and implementing mandates as well as by inspiring your stakeholders to achieve the ESG strategy’s goals as determined mutually between you and the Board at the Global level.
The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth in Environmental Engineering on reducing emissions. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision-making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary.
Responsibilities
Complying with environmental regulations at federal, state, and local levels
Improving the budgeting and reporting systems, creating data monitoring dashboards,
Oversee the relations with analysts and investors
Enacting policies to ensure that the company is environmentally and socially responsible
Improve supply chain audit to know human rights standards, and living wage analysis in providers.
Applying the most recent methodologies and frameworks in the environmental field
Improve the “bottom line” of the corporation by instituting practices that minimize waste, reduce the corporation’s carbon footprint, and maximize efficiency
Qualifications
MD or Ph.D. in Engineering
+10 years of impactful results in ESG strategy for large corporations
Product Carbon Footprint Knowlege
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Experience with content marketing, and social media marketing
Established a portfolio of media and PR contacts
Desire to grow professionally with ongoing education
