Job Description:
Are you an expert in sustainability? We are searching for a wide range of ESG consultants, from generic to specific fields (such as manufacturing, services, retail, transport, banking, insurance, real estate, etc.) to support our clients with ESG compliance. Your Responsibilities:
Calculate and assess our clients’ carbon footprints at both the company and product levels. Provide guidance on strategies for carbon offsetting and reduction.
Advise clients on adhering to Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.
Perform Double Materiality Assessments (DMA) to identify the relevant environmental, social, and governance disclosure requirements and data points for our clients.
Guide clients through the process of onboarding onto Verde365 software, a specialized CSRD and ESG reporting platform.
Collect and manage ESG data from clients to support reporting.
Present ESG and CSRD reports to clients.
When necessary, interact with clients’ suppliers to gain a comprehensive understanding of and collect data on clients’ Scope 3 emissions.
Propose actions to clients for achieving decarbonization and meeting other ESG objectives.
Ensure that industry-specific ESG considerations are accurately incorporated into the ESG reporting process.
Engage in continuous learning to stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes, offering clients up-to-date ESG insights.
Ensure the adoption of best practices in ESG reporting and management.
Provide feedback to the Verde365 development team, suggesting software enhancements to improve client user experience and to better meet industry-specific needs. (occasionally)
Lead ESG-related courses for clients and potential clients to foster a deeper understanding of ESG principles and practices. (occasionally)
Required Skills and Profile:
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in environmental management and/or climate change management.
Proficiency in ESG reporting. Prior experience with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards will be highly regarded.
Foundational understanding of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), as well as Double Materiality Assessment (DMA), is required.
Preference will be given to candidates holding a University, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, Environmental Policy, or Natural sciences.
Expertise in LCA, including carbon footprint calculations at the product level and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting for Scope 1, 2, and 3, will be considered an advantage.
A strong commitment to driving organizational change towards CO2 emissions reduction and decarbonization is crucial.
Must be proficient in the English language.
Independence, project management excellence, accuracy, adaptability, and reliability, particularly in meeting deadlines.
