Your role highlights – your responsibilities
Sustainability and ESG standards’ plays an important role at SanLucar. We have developed a global sustainability strategy for the company focused on environmental and social objectives. The world is changing and a sustainable agriculture with environmentally friendly methodologies, reduction of residues and less consumption of resources are necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs).
Our goal is to make a positive contribution to society and the environment through our actions and behavior, while at the same time reducing the negative effects.
We offer an internship position combined with the development of the Master Thesis focused on research on water and residue treatment from reverse osmosis. The reverse osmosis is producing a residue, the brine, to obtain irrigation water. The brine has a high concentration of the salt and need a specific treatment to avoid environmental impact. We would like to research and compare in the framework of a Master Thesis different solutions for the brine treatment, there effectiveness and costs.
As an intern (m/f/d) in the Sustainability Area, the dedicated time for the research topic will be 70% and 30% involved in tasks related to sustainable farming. Are you interested?

Your internship will be accompanied by a tutor responsible for your professional training and by a supervisor of internships for the organization in general. You will also receive a personalized training plan and we regularly carry out an evaluation session in which we intend to carry out a personalized follow-up. In addition, we remunerate your activity monthly with 600€ gross. At the end of your stay we will give you a training certificate, including the evaluation. Of course, we can also offer you lots of sunshine, fresh fruits and plenty of opportunities to join our multi-cultural team.
Requirements
You are studying, have just graduated or in postgraduate studies in a field related to sustainability (agriculture, environment, waste management, circular economy, biology,…)
You have interest in sustainability in your everyday work and life, you would like to know how handle it in a company and are motivated to learn more about the task.
You are passionate for research.
You have excellent language skills in Spanish and English, each additional language (German, French;…) will be a plus
You are open-minded, work independently, have analytical capacity and enjoy working in a team
You have already gained some experience in sustainability topics and already have experience abroad
You can make an internship contract through your university or scholarship
