Paul Marlex, in collaboration with a prominent company in the food industry, is seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Technician to join their environmental management team in the Maresme area.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation applicable to the food industry.
- Implementing and following up on sustainability programs (e.g., carbon footprint reduction, responsible use of natural resources).
- Coordinating internal and external environmental audits alongside the Quality Manager.
- Collaborating in obtaining and maintaining environmental certifications.
- Training staff in best environmental practices and sustainability.
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in production and logistics processes with a focus on sustainability.
- Supporting the environmental traceability of raw materials.

We are looking for someone with:
Strong analytical, organizational, and teamwork skills.
A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Vocational Training or Higher Technical Degree studies are also valued.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the food industry.
Knowledge of national and international environmental regulations.
Experience with environmental management systems (ISO 14001 or others).
Desirable experience with sustainability certifications in the agro-industry.
